Job Title: Pet Food Innovation & Compliance Specialist (Part-Time)Salary: R15,500 per monthJob Overview: We are seeking a Pet Food Regulatory & Formulation Specialist to support a UK-based pet food consultancy. This part-time role (20 hours per week) is ideal for a professional with expertise in FEDIAF and AAFCO regulations and a background in pet food formulation and compliance.Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week (UK working hours).
  • Flexible within core business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in pet food formulation, ensuring compliance with FEDIAF and AAFCO.
  • Research and substantiate pet food claims (e.g., taurine effects on cats).
  • Update raw material specifications and manage formulation software.
  • Write and validate product claims with supporting documentation.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory requirements and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3+ years in the pet food industry (commercial/manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of FEDIAF and AAFCO regulations.
  • Experience in formulation, labelling, and packaging compliance.
  • Research and report-writing skills to support product claims.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Laptop and high-speed internet access required.
