Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health Institute NPC, (MatCH) is a non-profit organisation supporting public sector health services. MatCH implements donor funded projects to improve HIV and TB outcomes through providing technical assistance and direct service delivery support. MatCH is looking for a suitably qualified candidate to fill the following position under a project aimed at Achieving and Sustaining HIV/TB Epidemic Control in the Eastern Cape Province - Integrated Service Delivery Response. Provision of support to Pharmacy Managers, Pharmacy and facility staff.
Pharmaceutical System Strengthening at PHC/CHC/Hospital and District level.
Policy/standard operating procedure development, implementation and monitoring and evaluation for Provincial, District Pharmaceutical Services and facilities.
Strengthen supply chain management and availability of medicines and commodities.
Designing and implementation of quality improvement Programmes at PHC/CHCs/Hospitals.
Implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Pharmacy systems at PHCs/CHCs/Hospitals.
Designing of training material and providing training and mentorship to staff.
Ability to train, mentor, develop and performance manage human resources.
Assist District Pharmaceutical Services with rollout and sustainability of special projects/Programmes including CCMDD, Rx Solutions and Stock Visibility Solutions, Pharmacovigilance.
Collation and interpretation of data; development of reports, presentations at meetings.
Perform other duties aligned to the role as assigned.
Required minimum education and training o Bachelors degree in pharmacy.Professional Body Registration o Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council.Minimum work experience o 4 years appropriate experience after registration with SAPC as Pharmacist.Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities o Good knowledge of National Drug Policy, Essential Drug List, National Core Standards and Good Pharmacy Practice. o Knowledge of Rx Solutions, SVS and CCMDD. o Experience in medicine supply management at PHC and CHC level. o Project management experience. o Certification in basic HIV and GCP. o Ability to analyse and assess. o Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. o Attention to detail and accuracy. o Report writing skills. o Valid Drivers License. o Willingness and ability to travel.Please include the position title and reference number on the advert in the email subject line of your application.
