A permanent vacancy exists for a Phlebotomist/ Driver in Paarl for the Donor Division (Grade B5)
Purpose of the Job
Screening of Donor
Phlebotomy procedure
All Donor Attendant duties - Clinic Reception and Blood Collection
Transport staff and equipment safely to and from clinics
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 Certificate
Certificate in Phlebotomy Techniques
1-2 years Phlebotomy experience is essential
Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa
Previous Blood Transfusion experience would be an added advantage
Computer Literate
Reliable transport
The working hours are variable i.e. shift basis including weekends
A code C drivers licence without endorsements
A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required:
Good interpersonal skills
Have a friendly disposition and willingness to go the extra mile
Accuracy in data collection
Fully multilingual
Must be able to work as part of a team
Skilled in customer services and the ability to deal with the public
Willingness to relocate to Paarl
