My client an Industry Leader in E-Commerce requires a competent and experienced Photographic Retoucher to join their team in Woodstock, Cape Town.CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOBxc2xb7 The aim of this role is to work collaboratively with the studio team, photographers & QA (Quality Assurance) to ensure we achieve the desired quality images ready for clients across multiple channels.xc2xb7 Experienced retoucher accustomed to high volumes of product images for e-commerce or print with a clear understanding of working in a non-destructive image workflow.REQUIREMENTS:xc2xb7 At least (3) years of experience with Photography Retouching ESSENTIALxc2xb7 Bachelors Degree in Graphics Design, Visual Arts, and/or other relatedxc2xb7 Advances skill level in Photoshop selection, extraction, and masking/clipping techniques.ESSENTIALxc2xb7 Minimum 2 years of work experience editing images for eCommerce.xc2xb7 Exposure to product photography and digital enhancements.SA Citizens onlyMust be Criminal ClearMust reside in the Greater Cape Town AreaBehaviours, Skills, and Attributes:xc2xb7 Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.xc2xb7 Be able to take the lead but also to follow direction when required.xc2xb7 Ability to work in a deadline driven and pressurised environment without compromising image quality.xc2xb7 Conduct oneself in an ethical manner internally and externally.xc2xb7 Meticulous and attention to detail with an eye for creativity.xc2xb7 Self-motivated and energised.xc2xb7 Problem solver.xc2xb7 Effective communication skills - verbal and written.KEY PERFORMANCE AREASxc2xb7 Adobe Photoshop Experienced and up to date - selection, extraction, tonal and colour manipulation tools and techniquesxc2xb7 Good understanding of photographic lighting qualities and how they affect products and surfaces, also how to enhance and/or manipulate lighting.xc2xb7 Edit product photography for use in e-commerce, including color correction, removing backgrounds, clipping, cleaning up imperfections on products, and adding shadows or reflections as needed.xc2xb7 Utilise masking, selections, adjustment layers, custom curves, channels, and layer masks.xc2xb7 Isolating product photos, clean up, correct verticals, deep-etch images, save output formats specifications. xc2xb7 Retouching imperfectionsxc2xb7 Match density and colour across all product angles, and across a product range importantxc2xb7 Fine colour correction to match reflective surfacesxc2xb7 Following of image briefs as per client and image specifications (reference images)Following QA specifications and feedback to always ensure the highest quality.xc2xb7 Fast and consistent work speed without jeopardizing quality.xc2xb7 Follow a non-destructive way of working by using adjustment layers.xc2xb7 Maintaining photo asset workflow standards including file naming conventions and file managementxc2xb7 Prioritizing multiple projects at a time xc2xb7KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORSxc2xb7 Image Quality - Cleaning product imperfections, aligning verticals, colour and tonal correcting and deep etching of digital images.xc2xb7 Compositing/Enhancing multiple elements needed to create a final image and bringing these elements together smoothly. (Retouch angles/Plates).xc2xb7 Interpretation / Implementation of retouch briefs for general imagery or creative/high end jobs.xc2xb7 Image Quality / Consistency - Applying and adhering to image specifications.xc2xb7 Communication (verbal and written), meeting Due Dates of jobs / collaboratexc2xb7 Image Quality - low rejection rate, Quick turn-around time on rejections.xc2xb7 Good file and folder management.
