Job Description
As the mining Pit Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the mining pit. The primary goal will be to ensure the safe and efficient extraction of materials while maintaining high productivity and adhering to environmental and safety standards.Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Opencast Blasting Certificate
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mining industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven track record of managing a team in a mining environment.
- Minimum 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the Chrome mining industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in mining software and technology.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Supervision and Leadership:
- Oversee daily operations and direct the activities of workers in the mining pit.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for the team.
- Monitor and optimize production processes to maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of mining equipment.
- Schedule regular inspections and repairs to minimize downtime.
- Manage inventory of necessary tools and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of production, safety incidents, and equipment maintenance.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to management
