Pit Supervisor

Job Description
RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pit Supervisor to join a well-established mining company in the Northern Cape.Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the pit operations
- Plan and schedule pit operations to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of production and operational activities
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Train and mentor pit operators to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize pit operations
- Open pit blasting or rock breaking certificate
- Competency A / Legal Liability
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a mining environment
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory role
- Must have proven experience with open pit heavy equipment fleet and open pit operations and mechanical inclined
- Valid drivers license
- Previous experience with loading and hauling in open pit mining environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards
- Salary: negotiable
