Job Description

You will be responsible for managing a team of client accountants, each with a portfolio of our clients.
 
For each client, you and your team will typically be responsible for the following functions:
 
- Maintaining the nominal, customer, and supplier ledgers ensuring key accounts are reconciled on a weekly or monthly basis
 - Communicating regularly with the client re outstanding invoices both on the customer and supplier ledger and ensuring ageing remains within reasonable limits
- Liaising with the client re the weekly or monthly payroll requirements and ensuring payslips are accurate, staff are paid on time and payroll data is correctly captured on the nominal ledger
- Processing of month?end journals including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, etc.
- Preparing the monthly management accounts including profit & loss against budget, balance sheet and supporting schedules
 - Preparing the weekly or monthly forward cash flow forecast depending on specific client requirements
- Preparation of annual budget
- Resolving any queries raised by clients following review of the management accounts or the weekly reports on a timely basis
- Preparation of the client’s VAT returns
- Monitoring and being responsible for all Companies House and HMRC deadlines including VAT, PAYE, End of Year Accounts, Corporation Tax, Annual Return Form and other Statutory requirements
- Preparing statutory forms for any changes to company officials, shareholders, etc. for signing and submission to Companies House
- Assisting the clients with any ad hoc queries or requirements
- Dealing directly and or indirectly with Zimra, SARS, banks, Companies House.
