Job Summary Description:
Hire Resolve's client is currently looking for a skilled Planning Officer to join their reputable mining company based in Mpumalanga. The Planning Officer will be responsible for coordinating and implementing operational planning processes to ensure efficient production and resource optimization in line with company targets and objectives.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term mine plans.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure accurate planning and scheduling.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on production performance and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Participate in budget planning and cost control activities.
  • Identify and implement technological advancements to optimize planning processes.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification (NQF 7)
  • Opencast Blasting for Coal Mines
  • 5 years' experience as a Planning Officer in the mining industry (Coal).
  • Proficient in mine planning software (CAD, XPAC, OCCS, MineSight, or similar).
  • Experience in Scheduling would be advantageous.
  • Valid Drivers License
