Closing Date: 12/06/2014Applicants are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in the Planning Department, Sedibeng. The successful candidate will report to the Master Planner.Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

  • SAP system maintenance of capacity planning.
  • Scheduling production processes on SAP.
  • Communication and report updates of plan changes.
  • Co-ordination between departments to ensure delivery of the weekly plan.
  • Updating of production schedules on SAP based on agreed recovery plans.
  • Convert planned orders into process orders on SAP to maintain 4 weeks fixed period.
  • Release process orders and print object/picking lists.
  • Review and report on site adherence and attainment of process orders.
  • Update SAP process orders to ensure dates changes.
  • Ensure process orders are set to TECO after final movements have been completed by all departments.
  • Drive innovation and business improvements in support of operational goals.
The Successful candidate must preferably have the following experience/skills:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Production Planning, Logistics or Supply chain management is a requirement.
  • 1-2 years of experience within a packaging planning environment
  • High level of SAP
  • High level Excel skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • High level of problem-solving abilities
  • Future-orientated and able to generate contingency plans.
  • Good verbal/ written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with site management and planners.
  • Ability to persevere with tasks and display resilience when confronted with adversity.
