Job Summary Our client, a civil construction company in Polokwane, is currently seeking a Plant Hire Facilitator to assist in managing the hiring and deployment of plant machinery and equipment for our projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of plant equipment, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of coordinating logistics for construction projects.Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with project managers to assess equipment needs for upcoming projects
- Source and hire plant machinery and equipment from suppliers
- Negotiate rental contracts and agreements with vendors
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of equipment to and from project sites
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs for equipment as needed
- Monitor and track inventory of equipment and machinery
- Provide regular updates to project managers on equipment availability and usage
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operationsRequirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the civil construction industry
- Knowledge of plant machinery and equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
