Qualifications

Experience
5 years' demonstrated experience in the manufacturing and production environment, preferably in the assembly process of explosives within the mining or resources industry
5 years' demonstrated experience in the applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and quality
5 years' demonstrated experience in people management
3 years' demonstrated experience in utilising the modern production process controls such as PLC and SCADA
3 years' demonstrated experience in fault finding on automation processes.

Duties
Deliver production targets as per the schedule within the agreed budget and compliance specifications
Ensure that the resources provided (Plant, process, people and material) are optimally utilised to meet the minimum schedule
Ensure that during production, all minimum legal safety, quality and operational requirements, including minimum training standards, are
continuously met To monitor daily output, quality and safety objectives, and direct corrective action.
If needed, take direct control of production processes to correct product output/quality adherence as and when required to achieve daily
targets. Managing usage variances against agreed standards
Drive high safety, quality, and compliance standards, ensuring all employees understand policies and their responsibilities.
Quality Leadership - Quality products produced to product specification
Adhere to and comply with the stipulated process control parameters to ensure compliance with the provided quality procedures and that all
products released for sale comply with the minimum quality specifications. Conduct the required inspection and compliance verification management to achieve the above.
Drive quality performance, oversee root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
Champion a quality-first mindset across all functions. Set high expectations for product integrity, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure quality management systems (QMS) are implemented, maintained, and continuously improved per ISO or other relevant standards.
Work closely with the Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments to ensure timely inspection, testing, and release of materials and
finished goods. Lead the resolution of quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints. Oversee robust root cause analysis and implement
practical corrective and preventive actions. Ensure processes are stable, capable, and aligned with quality specifications. Promote the use of statistical tools and quality metrics for
monitoring performance. Prepare for and lead internal and external quality audits (e.g., regulatory, customer, third-party), ensuring full compliance and continuous
improvement of audit findings. Ensure all employees are trained in quality standards and procedures relevant to their roles. Reinforce accountability for quality at all levels.
Champion and manage the Management of Change (MoC) process
To ensure risk mitigation and operational consistency
Ensure ownership of the MoC Process that impacts people, processes, equipment, materials, or systems within the plant by ensuring that all
proposed changes are evaluated for potential safety, environmental, quality, and operational risks before implementation. Ensure all MoC documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies, legal standards, and industry regulations.
Ensure proper communication of changes clearly to all affected personnel and ensure proper training and understanding before
implementation. Monitor the execution of changes to ensure they are carried out as planned and within the approved parameters.
Lead follow-up reviews to assess the effectiveness of changes, identify any unintended consequences, and drive continuous improvement.
