WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The
Plant Manager
will be responsible for all manufacturing and operational activities in the plants. This includes resource scheduling and optimization in order to supply product safely, on time at the required quality standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all daily activities and operations in the respective buildings and facilities.
In conjunction with the production planning section, prepare and manage production schedules. This includes all resources; material, components, facilities, labour and equipment.
Manage, monitor and report production against the Master Production Schedule and lead risk mitigating actions.
Escalation and solving of any risks related to safety, quality and delivery commitments.
Set and manage the operational overheads and labour budget / forecast.
Control and monitor direct cost of manufacturing.
Provide inputs and motivations to the CAPEX budget.
Communicate, monitor and ensure compliance to all relevant legislation and SHEQ systems, standards & procedures.
Recommend, motivate and manage process and equipment changes via the official modification and ECP process.
Lead/contribute to failure investigations and corrective actions.
Ensuring employees are trained and competent for all required tasks.
Maintain discipline and comply with company policies, practices and procedures.
Support the company vision, mission and value system.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
BSc or BTech in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
At least 5 years' experience in the field of Engineering/Operations/Plant Management with at least 2 years in managing a team.
Knowledge and experience of explosives manufacturing processes will be advantageous.
Excellent problem solving abilities, good judgement and a decision maker.
Ability to communicate and operate at a Senior Level.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Must be prepared to work irregular hours.
Good interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Driven, confident, self-motivated and results orientated.
Proficient computer skills -MS Office, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project, SAP ERP.
