As the Plant Planning Manager at the Vehicle Manufacturing Plant in Coega, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the production planning processes.
Your responsibilities will include developing strategic production plans, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring efficient utilization of resources to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive production plans to meet manufacturing targets and customer demands.
Collaborate with the production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of production schedules.
Capacity Optimization:
Analyze production capacity and resource utilization to identify opportunities for optimization.
Work closely with department heads to address capacity constraints and implement solutions.
Demand Forecasting:
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand market demand and incorporate forecasts into production planning.
Adjust production plans based on real-time demand fluctuations.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels to ensure alignment with production plans and minimize excess stock.
Implement inventory control measures to reduce carrying costs while maintaining production efficiency.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Liaise with various departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure effective communication and alignment with production plans.
Foster a collaborative environment to streamline information flow and address potential bottlenecks.
Continuous Improvement:
Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives in production planning processes.
Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in production planning and operations management within the automotive manufacturing industry.
Proficient in production planning software and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
