Job Description
Title PL/SQL DeveloperWe are looking for a PL/SQL Developer to join one of our development teams delivering solutions to a telco client. You will be involved in the development of world-class solutions in accordance with functional specifications and system architecture as well as to design and implement data structures and queries.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- PL/SQL Development
- Unit Testing
- Design and development of new features and products, within an application framework, together with other members of the project team.
- Documentation and unit testing for items developed
- Configuration of the application, for new products and elements
- Deliver code that is functional, understandable, maintainable and testable
- Responsibility for own deliverables
- Utilise version control, build, continuous integration solutions and code quality tools as required
- Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts
- Software Engineering Degree or National Diploma
- Minimum 5 years' experience
- PL/SQL development experience
- SQL expertise
- Understanding of software engineering principles
- Understanding of data modelling principles
- Take responsibility for defect-free delivery within project deadlines
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Enthusiastic and self motivated
- Experience in the development of applications for the telecommunications industry
- Java experience will be advantageous
- Candidate can be based in Cape Town or Jhb.
