Duties/Pligte
Managing, coordinating, and liaising all work with internal and external stakeholders, Facilities Management (FM), contractors, and clients.
Requesting quotations and estimates, purchase orders, processing invoices and adequate record keeping.
General management, including risk identification, and application of health and safety requirements.
Complying with all prescribed legislation, as well as policies and procedures of the University, measuring service level agreements, internal audits of systems and managing service providers and internal staff.
Maintenance, including inspections, recommendations and corrective actions, repairs, complete control over expenditures, including weekly updating of the job request system, regular monitoring of progress measured against target dates, identification of risks and preventive / corrective actions.
Relationship management, including the promotion and maintenance of good working relationships and partnerships with internal clients and service providers to promote the image of Facilities Management inside as well as outside the University.
Ensuring that water retuculation systems function optimally and all systems connected to the reticulations system (grey water, pumps, filtration plant, bore holes) are maintained and installed as per national legislation and SANS codes and in line with masterplanning and the DCD documents of the University.

Bestuur, skakel en koordineer alle werk met interne en eksterne belanghebbendes, Fasiliteitsbestuur, kontrakteurs, en kliente.
Verwerking en inwinning van kwotasiedokumentasie en beramings, aankoopbestellings, verwerking van fakture, asook volledige rekordhouding.
Algemene bestuur, insluitend die identifisering van risiko aspekte, en die toepassing van beroepsgesondheid- en veiligheidsvereistes.
Voldoening aan alle voorgeskrewe wetgewing, asook beleide en prosedures van die Universiteit, meting van diensvlakooreenkomste, interne audits van stelsels en bestuur van diensverskaffers en interne personeel.
Onderhoud, insluitend inspeksies, aanbevelings en regstellingsaksies, die volledige beheer oor uitgawes, insluitend weeklikse opdatering van werksversoekstelsel, gereelde nagaan van vordering gemeet aan teikendatums, identifisering van risiko's en voorkomende/regstellende aksies.
Verhoudingsbestuur, insluitend die bevordering en instandhouding van goeie werksverhoudinge en vennootskappe met interne kliente en kontrakteurs, asook die bevordering van Fasiliteitsbestuur se beeld binne sowel as buite die Universiteit.
Verseker water retikulasie en optimale werking van alle stelsels gekoppel daaraan (grys water, boorgate, pompe, filtrasie-aanleg) soos uitgele in SANS se kodes en voldoening aan standaarde soos voorgeskryf in meesterbeplannings en ontwerp-kriteria dokumentasie van die Universiteit.
Onderhoud van watermeters en stelsels.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
N3 qualification.
A qualified artisan.
At least five years' relevant construction and maintenance experience in the plumbing trade.
Experience in asset management and maintenance software systems.
Basic knowledge to measure and understand building plans.
Knowledge of utilities installations (water meters).
Knowledge of different water systems.
At least five years' relevant experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Good leadership qualities.
An above-average ability to promote and maintain good human relations with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.
The ability to motivate colleagues, to offer advice, provide leadership and inspire them to provide better service delivery.
The ability to function within a team.
A valid Code B driver's licence.
N3 kwalifikasie.
`n Gekwalifiseerde ambagsman.
Minstens vyf jaar se konstruksie en onderhoudservaring in die loodgieter bedryf.
Ervaring in batebestuur en instandhoudingssagtewarestelsels.
Basiese begrip van bouplanne en opmetings.
Kennis van nutsdienste (water meters).
Kennis van verskillende water stelsels.
Minstens vyf jaar se toepaslike ervaring.
Vaardighede in Microsoft Office.
Bewese skriftelike en mondelinge kommunikasievaardighede.
Goeie leierseienskappe.
'n Bogemiddelde vermoe om goeie menseverhoudinge te bevorder en in stand te hou met kollegas, kliente en ander belanghebbendes.
Die vermoe om kollegas te motiveer, van raad te kan bedien, leiding te kan gee en aan te spoor tot beter dienslewering.
