Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Associate Specialist in Communications & Policy to effectively facilitate the implementation of our strategic communication and policy objectives across the SSA region.In this role, you will work with the Communications and Patient Engagement Lead to support communication needs by designing and distributing materials for social media, internal events, and public awareness campaigns, submitting them for approval via the VEEVA PromoMats system. You will also collaborate with the Policy Lead to develop policy analyses and briefing materials and policy events management using platforms such as Salesforce.Additionally, you will manage department knowledge through document control in line with compliance processes and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to the donations and grants disbursement processes to strengthen health systems across the SSA region. Your efforts will be essential in enhancing our external engagement and advancing public health initiatives.Key Responsibilities:

• Support in the development and implementation of the communication strategy for the organisation including digital communication campaigns, ensuring targeted communication and internal campaigns
• Support the implementation of the internal and external communication plans across business units
• Optimize and manage all internal communication opportunities including newsletters and electronic media
• Support in the development of policy analysis and briefing documents for internal and external use
• Lead/Support communication initiatives and events inclusive of the various diversity, equity, and inclusion chapters
• Assist the organisation with wide internal communication deployment (CLA and notices)
• Upload and facilitate the approval process for content on Veeva PromoMats
• Upload, facilitate and ensure timeous approval process for departmental events on Sales Force
• Create and manage secured and non-secured folders for compliance documents including contracts, patient information and all necessary processes and contracts due for renewal for the department

Other Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other internal teams (e.g. medical, compliance and sales) to develop and monitor strategic communications and policy initiatives
• Analyse and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns
• Develop and create marketing materials for social media
• Assist with generating purchase orders for communications and policy events
• Engage with various stakeholders across the business to work on projects.
• Work with external agencies and vendors to execute communication programs
• Effectively manage daily administrative tasks
• Coordinate with the marketing design and content teams to generate digital and print advertising material for non-branded campaigns and social media

Requirements:

• Relevant post-matric qualification (e.g. Communications, Public Administration, Politics, Philosophy, Marketing)
