Businesses also use it to augment employee benefit packages and enhance their corporate travel programmes.Purpose of the jobAs a Portfolio Resource Planner within the Product & Innovation function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient allocation of resources across our portfolio of initiatives. Working in close collaboration with product managers and cross-functional teams, you will utilize agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Aha! to optimize resource utilization and drive successful project delivery.Main AccountabilitiesResource Allocation: Rollout a standard, consistent process for Product & Innovation function to be able to allocate resources effectively across multiple projects within the portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and prioritization of high-impact work.
Capacity Planning: Conduct ongoing assessment of team capacity and skills to ensure that resources are appropriately matched to project requirements. Proactively identify and address potential resource constraints or bottlenecks.
Collaborative Planning: Work closely with product managers, delivery leads, and other stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive resource plan that reflects project timelines, dependencies, and priorities. Work closely with Portfolio team to ensure resource management process is integrated in the broader portfolio framework.
Prioritization Support: Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making around project prioritization, balancing competing demands around resources and feasibility assessment on executing the proposed plans.
Data Analysis and Visualisation: Utilize data-driven insights to inform resource planning decisions, including historical project data, team performance metrics, and external factors impacting resource availability. Provides a single, easy to consume, view of resources allocation within the Product & Innovation teams.
Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine resource management processes and tools to improve efficiency, transparency, and collaboration across the organization.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate resource plans, updates, and potential risks to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout all layers of the organization.
Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to teams on resource management process and, if appropriate, how to leverage internal tools JIRA and Aha!, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.Skills and Capabilities
