This exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and productive research group is open to hard-working and motivated applicants. Ideally, the Postdoctoral Research Fellow will have an interest and expertise in higher education studies or a related discipline such as educational management, political science, public management, business administration, public administration, sociology, social psychology and science.In particular, we are looking for postdoctoral fellows to assist with the following projects:
Policy framework and data management
Digitalization Project
Research Impact ProjectApplicants are expected to undertake research and publish on higher education. They will also contribute to the research activities and the culture of the higher education and human development research group.The fellowship will enable an outstanding doctoral graduate to obtain experience in research and innovation at a higher education institution under the mentorship of established researchers.The fellowship is awarded on a competitive basis, taking into account the applicants' academic achievements, publication outputs and research potential, as well as the relevance of prior experience and expertise. The fellowship is available for a period of one year, renewable for up to two years subject to satisfactory performance and available funding.
Eligibility Criteria:Fellowships are open to South African and foreign nationals for full-time research at the University of the Free State.
Candidates must hold a relevant PhD degree before the commencement of appointment (PhD should have been awarded less than five years ago).
Have vital qualitative and quantitative analysis skills.
Demonstrated experience and/or interest in Institutional Research is highly favoured.
Successful applicants will demonstrate exceptional academic performance and intellectual potential.
Fellowships are awarded on a competitive basis, considering the applicants' academic achievements, publication outputs, and research potential.
Successful applicants will demonstrate potential to contribute to knowledge creation in their future academic careers.

The successful applicant will be expected to live in Bloemfontein when not conducting fieldwork.Value of the fellowship:
