A fast-growing, award-winning, boutique PR agency in Cape Town's CBD is on the lookout for a dynamic PR Account Manager/Senior Account Manager to work on an exciting portfolio of consumer clients for this on-site/hybrid opportunity.In this super, consumer focussed role, you will work in a team of five, alongside the agency's Head of Content and Social Media Manager. You will actively support a variety of power brands, including an international hotel chain, online retailers and eCommerce in luxury fashion, motoring and vehicle insurance, as well as purpose-led work with our international NGO clients. • Run day-to-day account management, oversee events, project manage client activities and campaigns, and ensure weekly and monthly PR/campaign reports are delivered on time.
• Manage and work closely with and brief agency suppliers (graphic designers, videographers, photographers, events, and webinars).
• Understand the content and various channels: what makes a good story, blog, interview, podcast, emailer, executive LinkedIn post, etc.
• Strategy and planning: the ability to plan ahead and compile campaigns - think content calendars, understand the communications 'golden thread', the core campaign messaging, and how to optimise content for audiences and stakeholders to deliver ROI.
• Manage and host meetings with clients, global execs, and senior staff.

RequirementsThe successful candidate must have/be:

• Relevant Diploma
• 4-5 years' experience in working at a PR agency
• Understand agency environment including timesheets, agency processes, etc.
• Media relations experience and contacts to help drive publicity for your clients.
• Understanding and ability to successfully use social media for campaigns
• Able to do basic writing - proofreading, editing, media pitches, bios, briefing documents
• A good vibe: the agency culture is ego free.
• Confident, bubbly, and a people person with a good sense of humour.
• Attendance and involvement in new business pitches will take place from time to time to add variety and fun!
• Team player
• Own car and driver's license - advantageous.
