Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, specification, and implementation of bulk diesel storage facilities, including tanks, piping, and associated mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., SANS, API, ASME, NFPA).
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and HAZOP reviews.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency from concept to commissioning.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
xc3xa2xc2x9cxc2x94 BEng / BSc Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
xc3xa2xc2x9cxc2x94 Pr Eng (ECSA) registration Essential
xc3xa2xc2x9cxc2x94 Minimum 8 years experience in bulk diesel fuel storage systems, including tanks, pipelines, and associated infrastructure
xc3xa2xc2x9cxc2x94 Strong knowledge of API 650/653, ASME B31.3, NFPA 30, SANS 10131 and other relevant standards
xc3xa2xc2x9cxc2x94 Experience in EPCM environments is highly advantageous
xc3xa2xc2x9cxc2x94 Proven track record in project management, site supervision, and commissioning
