Job Description


The Western Cape Mobility Department, has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to improve road safety education in the Central Karoo Region with the aim of improving service delivery that is changing the behaviour of all road users, resulting in a reduction of road user fatalities, pedestrians in particular. The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines.
Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Education, Communication, Public Relations, Project Management and Social Science; A minimum of 3 years experience in a road safety management working environment or related fields.; A Valid (code B or higher) driving licence.NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.

Key Performance AreasRender support with the planning and execution of road safety interventions; Accounting for progress and performance; Render support to achieve road safety targets in the Central Karoo Region in accordance with set standards to enhance service delivery; Competent stewardship.

RemunerationR 397 116 - R 467 790 per annum (Salary level 8)Note on remuneration in addition service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
