Job Summary The role will include but not be limited to the following key responsibilities: Origination Helping to review new investment opportunities Preparing financial models and Investment Committee papers Investor relations Preparing investor update presentations Circulating summarised management accounts information Assisting with ad hoc investor requests Portfolio companies Reviewing and interrogating monthly financial statements and liaising with company CFOs / finance teams to track progress and address any matters arising Help to implement and track KPIs within portfolio companies and identify areas for financial and operational improvement Monitoring industry news and financial information on competitors / prospective acquisition targets Assisting with ad hoc portfolio company projects and requests Internal operations Overseeing the accounting function of the firm and the company accountants in the preparation of financial statements, VAT returns and tax returns Overseeing administration of investment structures and implementation of new structures for future transactions Other examples (not exhaustive) Assisting with AML / KYC requests Reviewing/issuing NDAs Reviewing engagement letters and other legal documents Skills & Experience: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proven financial analysis expertise Proficient in delivering compelling presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint Advanced modeling skills using Microsoft Excel Effective multitasking for diverse tasks with competing deadlines Qualification: CA(SA) preferable and/or CFA (all 3 levels) Evidence of strong academic achievement Contact Hannah Pretorius on
