Purpose of the JobThe purpose of the Project Coordinator role is to provide daily project management support and coordination within the Private Label & Imports Foods Buying Department. The role will execute administrative activities related to projects, ensure project stakeholder alignment on actions/tasks within projects, ensure stakeholder adherence to agreed project timelines and deliverables. The role offers the right candidate the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team where a working knowledge of Shoprite as a business will be acquired along with a practical understanding of Private Label Foods Buying in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.Job Advert Details

Job Objectives

• Execute project management administrative tasks.
• Support the management and coordination of all active projects to ensure they are completed within agreed timelines.
• Construct accurate timelines, based on project status and supplier lead times, communicating these with all stakeholders ensuring continued stakeholder alignment.
• Coordinate and liaise with relevant project collaborators/ project partners/ suppliers and other stakeholders for effective delivery of project activities within agreed timelines
• Participate in or facilitate relevant team meetings and schedule meetings when required, sharing updated minutes following each engagement
• Ensure deliverables are tracked and that progress is reported regularly.
• Effectively identify, highlight and manage project risks and issues.
• Promote collaboration across various stakeholders.

QualificationsDiploma/ Degree in Project Management (essential)
Experience+2 years project administration experience within a product development environment (essential)
Retail environment experience (preferable)
Project Management Professional or PRINCE 2 Foundation certification (desirable)
Experience in applied Project Management principles and Project Management software (essential)
Proficient with MS Office (essential).
Proven track-record of successful high-priority project delivery within short timelines (essential)
Experience in project management within a New Product Development space related to products as well as packaging, artwork and development from ideation to implementation (advantageous)
Valid drivers license (essential)
