xc2xb7 Production Efficiency- Organize, implement, and maintain production process flow per workstation through continuous evaluation of manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials and recommend improvements to maximize production.- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout for increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.- Investigate operational problems affecting production and report and recommend solutions and strategies in a timely manner.- Ensure that work processes and procedures do not compromise of quality requirements and standards.- Liaise with suppliers on manufacturing processes related to their products and where necessary and together with HR, arrange for supplier to conduct training with production workers to maximize use of product.- Train production employees on new processes, procedures, and technology implement.xc2xb7 Equipment and Tooling- Ensure equipment is operational and in good working order by liaising with Maintenance.- Identify equipment and tooling required for specific functions.- Design, modify and adjust tools and jigs to improve efficiency and for new models entering production.xc2xb7 Work Instructions- Develop work instructions (SOPs), workmanship standards and process instruction documentation and ensure that these are followed and adhered toxc2xb7 Reporting- Supervisor and organize manufacturing documentation required for production (i.e. revised drawings, technical specifications, BOM, work instructions and workmanship standards and process procedures) for easy access and reference.- Estimate, update, and report on production productivity pre department on a weekly basis.- Report (weekly) on manufacturing data (i.e. production control charts, reliability, and process capability).- Perform calculations of production, labor, and material costs to measure efficiency and establish estimate future requirements.- Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.- Maintain process data history records.xc2xb7 GeneralPerform any other task, within reason, as requested by manager or Engineering supervisor.xc2xb7 2-3years experience in manufacturing and production environment.xc2xb7 Knowledge of bus bodies, MASA products & bus parts would be an advantage.xc2xb7 Knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology which included applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design of buses.xc2xb7 Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.xc2xb7 Excellent knowledge of engineering principles and processes.xc2xb7 Excellent understanding and knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures (automotive industry an advantage).xc2xb7 Good knowledge of Just-in-Time (JIT) and Total Quality Management (TQM).
