Lets change the game together.We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Process Engineer with banking experience to join our team in Johannesburg (Hybrid).This position requires a deep understanding of Process Engineering and Enterprise Business Processes. The role involves handling strategic and tactical aspects of discovering, validating, documenting, and communicating business-process-related knowledge through modeling, simulating, and analyzing current and future states. The focus is on complex business outcomes and technical aspects, aligning with the overall business strategy.The successful candidate will work autonomously, providing professional advice, managing, and/or coordinating areas within Business Analysis. They will lead technical areas within Business Analysis projects using available frameworks and tools, establishing project plans that meet on-time and on-budget goals.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Process Mapping and Improvement: Map full business processes and implement solutions for technological and process improvements.Data Relationship and Analysis: Identify relationships and linkages with data, anticipate issues, and identify root causes and effects.Requirement Elicitation: Elicit and discover requirements from key business stakeholders and select appropriate techniques for detailed requirements/processes.Networking: Develop a network to support and add value to client engagements, including company, clients, and external professional networks.Effort Estimation and Training: Provide inputs on effort estimation, handle training, and build competency within the vertical practice.Developing Domain Reusable Assets: Support the development of domain reusable assets like repositories and utilities.Enterprise Business Process Optimization: Assess, analyze, optimize, document, implement, and test end-to-end enterprise business processes of a multi-skilled team.Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with the business community at all levels, from facilitating design workshops and conducting end-user training to leading presentations to senior management and executives.Holistic View Development: Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to build a holistic view of the organizations strategy, processes, information, and IT assets.Business-IT Alignment: Link and align the business mission, strategy, and processes with the organizations IT strategy.Documentation: Use multiple models or views to document how the current and future needs of the organization will be met efficiently, sustainably, agilely, and adaptably.Integration of Needs and Capabilities: Bring together business needs, capabilities, technology, and processes in an efficient and effective manner.QualificationsEssential

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Additional course or certification in Business Analysis or Business Process Engineering.
Desirable:
  • Banking experience is a must
  • Management qualification or relevant years of experience.
Essential skills
  • A Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above) is preferred, along with experience in conducting time studies and the ability to define processes up to Level 6 (L6).
  • Strong analytical capability is essential to analyse large data sets and inform changes in processes.
  • The candidate should have achieved trusted advisor status at a senior level with clients, demonstrating excellent client-facing skills and the ability to identify underlying needs beyond initial expressions.
  • An innovative approach to developing new procedures or systems is important, along with excellent communication skills to maintain confidentiality, share ideas, and facilitate discussions to achieve collective objectives.
Technical skills:
  • The candidate must have mastery of industry-recognized knowledge areas for process engineering and the ability to perform process engineering tasks that connect IT, processes, and business needs. Intermediate theoretical knowledge in business analysis methodologies and awareness of new and emerging technologies and developments are essential.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and frameworks, a strong understanding of the business analysis lifecycle, and proven ability to assure project quality by developing procedures related to product quality are required.
  • The candidate should also be proficient in problem-solving methodologies and tools, providing technical guidance, and solving technical queries from junior colleagues.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is necessary, along with experience with iterative development processes and object-oriented, multi-platform projects.
  • Knowledge of system flows, engineering documentation, tools, and architecture concepts, and the ability to use recommended project control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking are crucial.
  • The candidate must be skilled at coordinating information gathering and reporting processes, reviewing trends, and comparing them to expectations.
Management skills:
  • The candidate should have excellent people skills and experience in fostering learning and knowledge transfer, be an effective coach and mentor, and demonstrate strong self-management, resilience, and commitment to achieving results.
  • Experience in managing upwards with multiple people and gaining trust quickly is also important.
