Process Engineer - BritsFull job descriptionOverview: As a lead provider in the water treatment industry, Watercare Innovations is seeking a Process Engineer for its North-West district. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing settler operations across diverse sites, conducting regular underground inspections, engaging directly with clients, and ensuring all water treatment plants/programs are running optimally, both on surface and underground. Your role as Process Engineer will also entail process optimisation, proposal writing, tender participation, and report writing. You will also form part of the internal financial planning meetings, be responsible for your own sites financial forecasts and performance.The scope of responsibilities has a wide span, which above prior mentions includes sales, maintenance tasks and sampling. This role necessitates a strategic and hands-on approach, combining technical expertise with effective client interaction and team leadership.Responsibilities:Manage and oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficient water treatment.Implement and enforce safety protocols, quality standards, and operational procedures to maintain a secure and compliant working environment.Lead and motivate a diverse team of plant/underground employees, including operators, technicians, and support staff.Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance team productivity and individual development.Coordinate and optimize the use of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production goals and budgetary constraints.Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.Establishing safety procedures for individuals working with dangerous chemicals.Developing methods for separating components of gases, solids, and liquids.Conducting tests and monitoring the process performance throughout production, while continuously optimising performance.Troubleshooting problems associated with processes.Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.Estimating production costs.Dealing directly with clients and the selling/proposing of solutions.Assisting with tender meetings, and proposal drafting for new clients.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering (B.Eng).Own vehicle with valid license.No criminal record.Clean bill of health to pass client site medicals.Willing to work underground.RSA Citizen (RSA ID)Excellent computer skillsFundamental understanding of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, and Process Flow Diagrams.Energetic, ambitious, and hard worker.Strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and regulations.Interpersonal skills in developing positive working relationships.Strong leadership skills.Job Type: Full-timePay: R30 000,00 - R40 000,00 per month
