Job SummaryOpportunity 2x Process Engineer for an automotive manufacturing company in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.Requirements:

• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience press tooling supported with relevant experience
• Good knowledge of sheet metal pressing
• Good knowledge of welding process
• Strong discipline to drive team members for results
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes and procedures.
• 5-Years in a large automotive manufacturing environment

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Project Implementation: Oversee the successful execution of new projects, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
• Engineering and Process Changes: Collaborate with customers to implement engineering and process changes that improve product quality and delivery.
• Tool and Die Maintenance: Maintain stamping dies using techniques like die spotting, punch fitting, formability improvements, and relevant hand tools.
• Technology and Process Standardization: Drive the implementation of standardized technologies and processes.
• Technical Innovation: Verify and initiate the implementation of innovative technical solutions.
• Critical Process and Product Characteristics: Define and manage critical process and product characteristics, including the Bill of Material.
• Cost Estimation: Develop competitive plant cost estimates and implement them through the ECR system.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of BOSLE principles and best practices.
• Human Resources: Foster a respectful work environment, recruit, develop, and retain a qualified, motivated, and productive workforce.
• Technical Interpretation: Interpret drawings and specifications to determine optimal practices.
