We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water and Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, the engineer will undertake the responsibility of developing designs that span from conceptualization to detailed design, encompassing water and wastewater treatment plants, sludge/residual handling, and pump stations. Additionally, coordinate efforts and execute design documentation as an integral part of the project team. The engineers should also be able to perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment as experienced engineer. Guides Graduate Engineers, provides design input to the CAD/BIM technicians and works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and tests.
Technical Excellence:
Contribute to the development of comprehensive technical proposals for water and wastewater projects.
Develop designs, ranging from conceptualization to detailed design, ensuring alignment with relevant local and international technical codes and standards.
Apply a combination of design and technical knowledge to fully develop design content, ensuring the production of high-quality outputs within project timelines.
Utilize discipline and interdisciplinary project BIM models to collect and analyze information whenever possible.
Actively participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables, including BIM spatial reviews such as virtual walkthroughs and clash detection.
Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments, encompassing calculations, technical specifications, sketches, diagrams, specific discipline BIM models, drawings, reports, and tender documents.
Identify discrepancies in results and propose effective approaches to solving new problems encountered during the design process.
Execute work within the agreed-upon budget and schedule, demonstrating autonomy with moderate supervision.
Collaborate with other discipline Engineers to ensure the continuity of the design process.
Uphold and enhance technical skills and abilities, ensuring the quality of model production by BIM/CAD teams and accuracy to design instructions.
Coordinate with relevant authorities to secure scheme approvals.
Client Relationship Management:
Actively participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, offering insight, provide explanations and advocate for the work undertaken.
Participates in the development and preparation of bids and proposals
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master of Science or Engineering from an accredited University. Registered as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA. B.Eng (Chemical) preferred by B.Eng (Civil) acceptable
4+ Years' experience after obtainment of Qualification, within the built environment
