Highly advantageous: SAP experience & already residing in the Western Cape.Location: Paarl, Cape TownSalary: market relatedDETAILSOur client, an international producer of food & beverage ingredients are looking to employ a Process & Formulation Lead to focus on transferring and adapting beverage recipes & products created in the EU region, into those that can be manufactured in SA with locally produced raw materials, specifically for distribution in the African market. This roles primary purpose is to optimise and adapt internal recipes, created in the EU market, to recipes that make use of easily accessible raw materials in SA. Falling into R&D, typical projects will include independently testing recipes, carrying out trials, implementing & adapting new recipes, and reducing the complexity of recipes with the overall aim of reducing costs and raw material usage.Reporting to the Raw Materials Manager, this role oversees responsibilities such as raw material selection & optimisation; physical, chemical & visual testing of developed products; stability & shelf-life testing, as well as liaising with Factory Production on adjusted formulations and maintaining SAP on recipe adaptations. Equipment management, including calibration of analytical apparatus, also forms part of this role.REQUIREMENTS
