- Review the baseline process safety status.
- Conduct a system gap and continuous audits.
- Develop and define a closure/corrective implementation plan.
- Establish a document management system and repository for all related data, reports, statistics, etc.
- Contribute to safety campaigns and communication for Modderfontein.
- Facilitate management reviews and internal audits including finding closure.
- Manage own performance.
- Contribute to a high performance work climate.
- Facilitate incident investigations.
- Lead / participate continuous improvement initiatives.
- A Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years' experience in process safety management.
- Advantageous to have an explosives and or chemicals manufacturing background.
- Interpretation of Engineering Codes, Standards.
- Risk analysis and assessment facilitation.
- Working knowledge and application of LOC, LOPA, HAZOP, SIL, etc.
- Ability to collate, consolidate and manage numerous sets of data.
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act including Regulations.
- Process and system optimisation / improvement to enable smarter working.
