Identify and assess level of issue-based risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
Manage SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox
Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status
Adhere to all related SOPxe2x80x99s, PTOxe2x80x99s and CTOxe2x80x99s as per training matrix per person, SHEQ and company standards.
CUSTOMERS
Achieve process quality and budget
Define critical process control parameters and implement a system for continuous monitoring, measurement and management of these parameters to ensure that required process quality is maintained
Ensure Customer Satisfaction and manage monthly SLA measurement and discussions with internal customers
BUSINESS PROCESSESResearch, analysis and development for continuous improvement of metallurgical processes at Pelletising and Sintering plants. This includes technical report writing, Mass balance development and presentation of resultsProcess Management:

Process Reliability:
Update Process Strategy
Monitor and improve process monitoring systems

Continuous improvement of refractories and process equipment
Implement Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) findings
Update and manage MES requirements
Report on process measures, CPIxe2x80x99s and KPIxe2x80x99s
Utilisation of MOC and Management plans to effectively evaluate continuous improvements
Process data analysis and process optimisation
Consumable monthly orders
Month end reporting
Project Management:
Management of projects, which includes control of project budgets and delivery of results and recommendations on time
Ensure proper integration of improvement projects

RequirementsMinimum qualifications:
Relevant Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering Degree (BEng / BSc/ B.Tech or National Diploma)
4 yearsxe2x80x99 relevant experience
Additional qualifications:
Knowledge of Samancor Systems would be advantageous
