Job Summary

Our client has an opportunity available for a Procurement and Supply Chain Director.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Economics and Business or Supply Chain Management.
• Additional higher education in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
• 10+ years' experience in a senior leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in the use of major brand MRP or ERP systems.
• Ability to read and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain knowledge of the market in addition to current prices and fair rates.
• Plan policies and procedures for efficiently, honestly, economically and productively purchasing goods for production.
• Monitor, review and analyze bids and quotes with suppliers including the negotiation of service level agreements.
• Negotiate with key suppliers and searching for new business opportunities.
• Ensure that strategy and tools are in place and that they are optimized to source at the best conditions.
• Supply Chain management including supplier relations and global supplier management.
• Manage supplier contract negotiations.
• Lead inventory management activities.
• Lead the development and implementation of supply chain strategies to support company goals.
• Work with commercial teams to optimize process and support their business objectives.
• Assess and monitor supplier quality and key performance indicators.
• Responsible for the import and export department.
• Ensure accurate financial information submission.
• Develop short term and long-term budgets.
• Expand collaboration with important stakeholders including sales, quality and manufacturing.
• Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
