Job Summary Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in East Africa. With offices in Kenya and South Africa, we are dedicated to designing and constructing bespoke solar solutions for businesses across the continent. Position Overview: As a Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless procurement of qualified equipment, including Solar PV Modules, Inverters, Generators Storage equipment. You will work closely with the Regional Manager and other key stakeholders to uphold our commitment to quality, competitive pricing, and project profitability. Basic knowledge of solar systems hardware. Proven experience in strategic procurement within the Renewable Energy Industry. Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship skills. Familiarity with Harmonised System (HS) Common External Tariff (CET) systems in East African Community (EAC). Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management/Purchasing and Supply or equivalent. Valid driving license preferred. Experience living and working in Kenya (ideally 1-2 years minimum). Remuneration: A competitive remuneration package is available, flexible depending on experience. Conduct supplier and subcontractor vetting procedures across Africa. Keep pricelists updated for detailed project costing. Evaluate spending operations and enhance service delivery. Drive and develop project Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in collaboration with the Engineering Department. Monitor credit applications with suppliers and maintain strong relationships. Research and identify potential new suppliers, products, and services. Implement strategies for effective procurement, storage, and distribution of products.
