Job Description

Procurement Strategy, Purchasing and supplier management

a) Must be able to develop, maintain and execute a procurement strategy of the company, thus ultimately reduces inefficiency, captures cost efficiencies and enhances governance and controls.

b) Ability to manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order, ensuring that all purchase requests are authorized, optimized accurately.

c) Ability to implement processes and systems to monitor supplier performance.

d) Must be able to analyse and identify potential cost savings and improvements in procurement processes.

e) Set up a planning module to ensure that procurement is optimal and planned for well in advance.

f) Ability to build and maintain good relationship with the current suppliers, and to identify & evaluate potential new suppliers.

g) Must have a good & close relationship with the internal stakeholders to ensure that the procurement and system are working optimally.

h) Ability to prepare monthly reports and presentations on the performance of Procurement.

i) Be able to develop KPIs for all functions within the department.

2. Contract management:

a) Ensure all SLA are in place.

b) Monitor and evaluate the performance of the suppliers based on their ability to deliver on the agreed contract requisition.

c) Contact supplier audits when required.

3. Health & Safety

a) Ensuring the health, safety & environmental & quality policies are observed and resourced for thus sourced. (ISO14001 & ISO9001.)

Education

- Bachelors degree in supply chain management or a Business Administration with background in procurement or related field

- Worked within the manufacturing industry would be advantageous

- More than 5 years experience in the field

Knowledge and Skills

- Substantial knowledge of the procurement processes and systems

- Substantial knowledge and experience in Quality Management System

- Knowledge and experience working with SAGE & MS Software
