Job Description
We have a position available for a Procurement Manager to procure exotic fruit and butternut.POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements:
- Suitable tertiary qualification
- More than 4 years procurement experience of fresh fruit
- Thorough understanding of cost chain
- People management skills
- Manage procurement strategy collaborating with Sales
- Secure product availability (pre-season and ongoing) based on sales forecasts.
- Negotiate pricing and identify new supplier/product opportunities
- Streamline product flow from farm to sales, ensuring clear communication between product coordinators, procurement, and the commercial manager.
- Monitor product availability, trends, and weather impact.
- Manage product packing and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Communicate product issues and maintain accurate supplier/product records.
- Ensure quality control through farm/packhouse training, manage packing materials, and maintain communication with suppliers and sales teams via QC reports and regular visits.
