The primary focus of the role will be to assist, support and guide the local and Austral Africa (AA) teams within the group procurement policies and parameters. The incumbent will be responsible for understanding industry trends, identifies sources, strategic supplier and partners for solutions goods and services from both local and international in line with group objectives.
Required Skills
xc2xb7 BCom Degree or similar relevant Diploma
xc2xb7 8 to 10 years related in a Procurement environment, preferably in the FMCG industry
xc2xb7 Thorough understanding of South African and Austral Africa procurement processes, policies and strategies
xc2xb7 Understanding of sustainability and environmental practices within the food industry would be advantageous
xc2xb7 Experience in managing relationships with key suppliers
xc2xb7 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
xc2xb7 Strong organizational and project management skills
xc2xb7 Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
xc2xb7 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
xc2xb7 Ability to travel locally to the local sites and sites in neighbouring African countries
xc2xb7 Continuous Improvement mindset with the focus on cost saving and compliance
xc2xb7 Strong negotiation skills
xc2xb7 Ability to lead a team of procurement professionals
