Procurement Manager

Job Description
A position has opened up for an experienced Procurement Manager who is effective at negotiating the best prices. Prior experience in packaging or agriculture beneficial, and preferred.Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics, Agriculture Degree
- More than 7 years procurement experience
- Experience with RFP and RFQ processes
- Excellent negotiator
- Agriculture or packaging experience
- Proficient with Power BI
- Valid drivers license as you might need to drive to suppliers from time to time
- Negotiate terms and products with various suppliers
- Evaluate existing contracts to ensure it is cost-efficient
- Establish and maintain efficient supply procedures and services
- Maintain and develop relationships with various suppliers
- Stay competitive by researching the market and prices
- Ensure favourable contract terms by working with the company's legal department.
- Ensure efficient inventory management
- Investigate the opportunities related to supplier optimisation.
- Investigate centralised buying opportunities and make recommendations to reduce cost and/or change suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, operations, quality assurance, and logistics to gather information and align on requirements
- Identify ways to improve operational efficiency and opportunities for savings.
