  • Manage the procurement process for the daily operations of the South African corporate office. This includes but not limited to: Administration, Human Resources, Finance, IT, Travel, Health & Safety etc;
  • Enforce the Group procurement policy and governance when procuring any goods and services;
  • Ensure due diligence is done on suppliers and that they are onboarded properly;
  • Ensure good relations with suppliers and vendors and build up a vendor database;
  • Expedite orders regularly and provide status updates to the end users;
  • Ensure that delivery of the product or service is compliant with the contractual terms (lead time, quality, price etc);
  • Contribute to achieving the department savings and performance targets;
  • Support the implementation and roll out of digital tools for procurement such as the ERP system;
  • Assist with procurement department reporting and data collection as and when required;
  • Provide support in G&A purchasing matters to other regional offices: share the knowledge and support when required on G&A suppliers and global contracts;
  • Utilise the framework agreements negotiated regionally and by the group.

Interaction Network:Internal:O&M Procurement Manager, Head of Procurement - Africa, CPO AMEA, Procurement, Finance teams & End users from HR, Administration, Health & Safety, Finance, IT etcExternal:Suppliers, Technical and H&S Teams, Owner & Assets companies procurement Team.3. Minimum Required Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in procurement or supply chain or NQF equivalent;5 years' functional experience covering procurement, supply chain and logistics;Experience in operational procurement preferably in power plants;CIPS level 4 or higher is preferred;Good autonomy;Team player;Good analytical skills;Fluent in English;Experience in negotiation;Good organisation and communication skills;Pays attention to detail;Good knowledge of digital tools including ERP systems (SAP, Maximo, MS Dynamics etc.), Advance Excel, Power BI, MS Office applications etc.4. Basic Understanding:Good understanding and experience in the procurement processes: Source to Pay, Procure to Pay, Manage your Supplier Panel;Logistics & Supply Chain ;Power Generation or Oil & Gas knowledge is a plus;5.
