This position will be based in Cape Town and will report to the Product Manager.The candidate will be expected to perform (but not limited to)
the following duties:

• Market Research and trend analysis. The process of gathering intelligence regarding specific products, attitudes, services, etc. and interpreting that information so business decisions can be made. Identify market trends that will impact on the relevant target market.
• Product concept design, evaluation and prototyping. Undertake product concept design, evaluation and prototyping
• Product development

The development of new product (support required by the
specialist leads during the PDLC, e.g. analysis, testing, etc.)

• Project Planning. Ability to identify the sponsor, define the scope and objectives of a project, anticipate resource needs, and then arrange, prioritize and schedule activities to meet project objectives.
• Reporting and Administration. Conduct efficient reporting and administration. The ability to access information from databases and prepare reports.

What will make you successful in this role?QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Relevant B-degree
• 3 years experience in a product development / implementation role within a financial services environment

SKILLS

• Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Guidewire PolicyCenter
• Knowledge of underwriting practices
• Ability to source and articulate business requirements into

system specifications

• Ability to transcribe client needs into technical product

solutions

• Sound Product Management Skills and awareness of various

methodologies

• Basic project management and administration skills
