You will hold a key position within the company and be responsible for the day-to-day communication with key suppliers to ensure access to the best products. As an ambassador for the company, you will play a crucial role in product procurement and supplier relations.Based on your experience in product procurement and in-depth analysis of product, suppliers, and destinations, you will plan and execute the selection of products to be featured across the companys portfolio of websites, social media, and training materials. You will ensure that the sales and marketing teams have access to sufficient product and supplier information to facilitate their day-to-day business.Roles & Responsibilities:Negotiate best-in-industry terms & conditions with product suppliers.Ensure alignment with the company''''s standard payment terms & conditions.Negotiate overrides and increase gross margin.Research and communicate new and exciting product offerings, client-specific specials, and combination deals to optimize profitability.Run ongoing training programs to improve destination and key product/supplier knowledge.Schedule regular supplier training, site inspections, and familiarization trips as necessary, while testing and monitoring sales consultants knowledge and expertise.Design, implement, and manage product development strategies across various destinations and key source markets.Use an analytical approach to product management and optimize performance according to specific KPIs.Manage and maintain all product information across platforms, ensuring all content is brand-aligned and pricing, logistics, and related information are up-to-date and accurate.Keep supplier contracts, training materials, and rates updated in internal systems for consultants, working closely with the Rates & System team.Assist consultants with supplier issues and product queries, providing support wherever needed.Analyze and monitor sales performance vs. agreed targets with key suppliers and work closely with the sales and marketing teams to improve performance over time.Develop a product strategy for each key source market in alignment with the sales managers, ensuring the selection of products meets market demand.Ensure all products used on social media platforms, websites, and newsletters are brand-aligned.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.Extensive supplier knowledge of Southern & East African destinations.Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.Strong team player.Excellent problem-solving skills.Strong multi-tasking ability.Highly organized, punctual, and well-presented.Analytical mindset.Experience with source markets such as German, North America, Latin America, French, and Asia is an advantage.Experience with Travelyst/TourPlan is an advantage.If you meet the above criteria and are excited about the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, apply today!
