Job Title: Product Developer

In this vital role, you'll lead innovative tea, herb, and spice projects for key local and international customers. Your mission: to deliver top-tier, creative products that showcase South Africa's finest flavors.Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay ahead of market trends and research new concepts in the tea, herb, and spice categories.
  • Develop commercially viable, sustainable products that align with current trends and target markets.
  • Manage and execute all stages of the product development process within deadlines.
  • Ensure products meet country-specific regulations for both product and packaging.
  • Source new raw materials and packaging sustainably from compliant suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with company certifications for new product development.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure smooth project launches.
  • Lead and monitor weekly customer meetings, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Execute on-time product launches and ensure seamless integration with internal teams.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Food Technology or BSc Food Science, or 5-10 years of industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • A valid drivers license.
  • Advantageous experience in project management, product development, and commercial exposure.
