A matric and a sciences degree or diploma is essential for this role.
Previous experience having worked within a sales or product management role is essential.
Previous experience having worked in an environment where you are responsible for sales forecasting and demand planning in terms of clients requirements.
Previous experience having worked within a laboratory/scientific environment is essential.
Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Developing and managing marketing strategies and grow product brands that deliver short- and long-term growth and profitability in line with company vision.
Managing the products, solutions and services assigned with full responsibility for the results, including definition of their customer and market requirements, growth and profit strategies, business planning, road mapping.
Driving the business performance of the products, solutions and services. Assigned over the whole product lifecycle in cooperation with sales teams and partners.
Conducting business reviews and providing monthly reports to track and manage key performance indicators.
Driving and identifying business opportunities for various product brands.
Assisting external sales representatives to map territories in terms of growth potential and established value.
Setting sales targets for each product brand.
Formulating strategies and plans to achieve sales targets for each product brand.
Aligning plans and strategies with sales plans of external sales representatives.
Providing support to the sales team with regards product knowledge driving key performance indicators.
Arranging and conducting product presentations.
Providing technical training to sales staff on various products.
Liaising with suppliers regarding terms and conditions of agency agreement as well as negotiating best prices and supply terms.
