Job Title: Product Quality Metallurgist - Mining IndustryLocation: Northern Cape, South AfricaRPO Recruitment's client is seeking a talented and experienced Metallurgist to oversee the product quality control process in the mining industry in the Northern Cape region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all metallurgical processes meet industry standards and product quality requirements. They will work closely with the operations team to optimize production processes and ensure the highest quality products are being delivered to customers.Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product specifications are met
• Conduct metallurgical testing and analysis to evaluate product quality and identify areas for improvement
• Monitor production processes and recommend modifications to achieve desired product quality
• Work closely with the operations team to troubleshoot any issues related to product quality
• Provide training and guidance to staff on quality control procedures and best practices
• Communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders
• Maintain accurate records of quality control data and reports
• Stay current on industry trends and advancements in metallurgical processes

Requirements:

• B.Tech/Bachelors Degree in Quality Management /Metallurgy
• Management/Supervisory Development Programme
• Minimum 5 Years' Process Plant exposure in mining industry
• At least 3 Years' Project Management Experience/Metallurgical Accounting management/Plant Control and Operations / Metallurgical Sampling and Test Work
• 2 Years' Supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of metallurgical testing and analysis techniques
• Experience with quality control processes and procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards
