Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Product Specialist Development Manager to manage the development and marketing of specialty products within the agriculture sector across the SADC region.Responsibilities:
- Formulate and develop new specialty nutrient, bio stimulant and biological products
- Improve existing products to provide cutting-edge solutions for the market
- Oversee field and greenhouse trials to demonstrate product efficacy
- Manage the registration process for new products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Supervise staff and manage the greenhouse facility
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead in the field
- Play an active role in the marketing and successful launch of new products
- MSc or PhD in Chemistry, with a focus on Plant Physiology, Agronomy, or related field
- Registration as a Professional Natural Scientist with SACNASP
- Minimum 5 years of experience in agronomic product development and formulation
- Experience in managing trials, the South African product registration process, and leading teams
- BASOS/FACTS and AVCASA/Crop Life SA certification would be advantageous
