Must have a strong medical background within the hospital/clinic environment.
Relevant academic qualifications are essential. A Med Tech/Nursing background is essential for this role. Flow cytometry experience is advantageous.
Previous medical experience having worked within the emergency care and/or diagnostic/point of care and in-service is essential.
Previous experience having worked in a new business development, sales or service role is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Promoting the point-of-care product portfolio to existing and new customers.
Promoting and selling of diagnostic point-of-care equipment and consumables.
Calling on all critical care areas of the hospital, primary health care, emergency medical services and pathology services calling on doctors, nurses, procurement and management.
Conducting sales and follow-up calls as well as handling public and private tendering and preparing sales quotations.
Achieving and exceeding sales and GP budgets within the territory, relevant customer accounts and product budgets.
Promoting product portfolio to existing and new customers.
Effectively following up and concluding long-term high-value projects.
Planning and facilitating workshops for existing and new possible clients in order to showcase and market services and products.
Monitoring market and customer movements in order to react effectively and proactively to any changes.
Preparing and submitting sales and marketing strategies in line with the available budget.
Developing and implementing marketing plans for advertising campaigns and launches of new products within product budgets.
Conveying good product knowledge to research, diagnostic and pathology customers.
Solving customer queries and complaints.
Presenting sales reports to senior management.
