Monitor the different aspects of maintenance to ensure it is in line with CAA regulations, and Safair manuals;
Perform random checks of parts that are installed, or removed, on Safair aircraft focusing on labelling, tags, traceability etc.;
Ensure that they meet the guidelines in the Safair manual and CAA regulations;
Responsible for certifying technical inspections of aircraft and their components parts and systems;
Perform random audits of on-site equipment, tooling, including calibrated precision test equipment;
Submit reports in line with procedures, including documentation of any defects or unairworthy conditions as specified by Safair protocols;
Ensure parts are scrapped in accordance with scrap part program;
Monitor aircraft airworthiness and return the aircraft to service in accordance with CAA regulations;
Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible;
Perform random audits of on-site equipment, tooling, and calibrated precision test equipment;
Conduct audits on safety practices to ensure adherence to company standards and regulations;
Perform random audits on maintenance paperwork to verify compliance with company documentation requirements;
Conduct random ramp inspections and visual / functional inspections on aircraft and components during all phases of maintenance, including major, minor, and line maintenance, providing detailed reports of findings.
Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
Trade certificate as an Aircraft Technician (Essential);
AME license holder on the B737-400 and B737-800 (Beneficial);
10 years' relevant experience (Essential);
Aircraft type, on type (Beneficial);
Experience using electronic maintenance tracking programs such as SAM/ flow centric;
Willing to travel;
Flexible working hours to support the 24hr operation;
Be able and willing to work outdoors on aircraft ramp and hangar side.
