Production Manager (greyton)
Job Description
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an individual who has sound knowledge in the cultivation of apples & pears, to act as Production Manager on a farm 10km outside of Greyton. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): Responsible for the overall management of Apple and Pear units (xc2xb170 ha in total); Overall management and control of production processes; Effective resources & cost management; Effective workforce management, including training & development; Recordkeeping and documentation pertaining to quality management and ethical processes; Plan and coordinate harvest schedules; Facilities management & maintenance; All other tasks related to this position. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: Diploma/Degree in Agriculture will be advantageous; At least 3-5 years experience in a similar role; Extensive knowledge of growing apples and pears; Excellent computer proficiency; Valid drivers license; Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English).
