Salary: R20,000 - R25,000 per month

Workplace: On SiteWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to oversee all production operations for a production kitchen. This role involves managing day-to-day production processes, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety, while leading a team of 15 direct reports across various production areas, including frozen foods, snacks, meats, fish and cuisine and loading trucksMinimum Requirements (Essential Skills):
Suitably qualified in Food Production, Culinary Arts, Operations Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in a production management role, preferably in food manufacturing or butchery operations.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance standards (HACCP, FSSC 22000, etc.).
Hands-on experience in butchery and/or large-scale food production.
Proficient in production planning, inventory management, and team leadership.
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.Responsibilities:
Production Management
Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily kitchen and butchery production schedules.
Ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and product specifications.
Oversee the preparation, cooking, packaging, and storage of all products.
Implement efficiency strategies to reduce waste and optimize output.Butchery Operations
Supervise cutting, trimming, deboning, and portioning of meat products.
Maintain equipment and enforce hygiene standards in the butchery area.Team Leadership
Train, mentor, and motivate staff, fostering accountability and excellence.
Manage schedules and conduct regular team meetings.Inventory & Procurement
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
Collaborate with procurement for timely replenishment of supplies.
Perform stock takes to minimize waste and shortages.Health & Safety
Enforce health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
