Production Manager Manufacturing
Port Elizabeth - Eastern Cape - South AfricaAs the Production Manager, reporting directly to the General Manager, you will oversee and optimise all manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards, while achieving key production targets.This role is pivotal in managing injection moulding processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency and product quality.The ideal candidate is a South African citizen with a Technical Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing or Production, and at least five years of experience in injection moulding machine setting and optimisation, including a minimum of three years in a supervisory role within the plastics manufacturing sector.You will bring strong knowledge of quality (QMS), environmental (EMS), and lean manufacturing systems, along with proven skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with databases and management reporting is preferred.The position demands excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities, and you must be confident in exercising the authority to halt production if quality or procedural standards are not met. A valid Code 08 drivers licence is required.Key responsibilities include managing production staff, scheduling, meeting production objectives, coordinating audits, enforcing health and safety measures, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality products.
