Our client, Arborlane Estates, situated in the Koue Bokkeveld (Western Cape), has a position available for a motivated Production Manager, specialising in apple and pear production to join their team. The main focus of the role is to manage all aspects of farm production and operations, ensuring optimal productivity, quality, and profitability.The ideal candidate is a people-oriented leader with excellent communication skills, who values collaboration and has the ability to inspire teams. Furthermore, the incumbent is open to innovation, embraces technology, and is passionate about regenerative agricultural practices.Duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): *Developing strategic and seasonal action plans, supported by detailed weekly and monthly work programs* Overseeing all farm operations, including planting, irrigation, fertilisation, and related activities *Training and development of personnel *Managing budgets, wages, and personnel records *Maintaining production-related records *Ensuring compliance with GlobalGap and SIZA standards *Stock control and record keeping *Scheduling maintenance of machinery and equipment *Any additional tasks related to the role.Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:A relevant agricultural tertiary qualification;5-7 years of relevant and practical experience in pome fruit production;Well-developed computer and administration skills;Good communication skills in Afrikaans & English (Xhosa will be beneficial);Own reliable transport.Commencement date: 1 June 2025.In addition to competitive remuneration, the package includes housing and eligibility to the company profit sharing scheme.Please apply online at www.m3online.co.za before 09:00 on 24 February 2025.For general enquiries, contact our team at M3 Human Capital Management on XXX-XXXX.Please note that only shortlisted candidates are contacted.
